Reno Blog #07 - Renovation starts!

Our renovation starts! ID visited our flat for first review on 8 April. We are Christians, so not pan tang on specific dates to start work, so we just left it to our ID to arrange dates with his staff and sub-contractors. I wasn't physically there to view the progress regularly, but hubby was. I didn't think of blogging on the reno at that time, so I didn't keep track of the order of construction work done. But I think they generally started with the cement work at the Yard and Kitchen areas.

Kitchen - Water Pipes/ floor tiles hacked and replaced.
We wanted to move the sink to the wall opposite, so the water pipes had to be re-run, under the original kitchen floor tiles. The kitchen floor was hacked.

Base for fridge (Top Left) and Base for Tall Cabinet (Bottom Left). Original Water Pipe re-located. Kitchen floor tiles replaced by mosaic
Base for kitchen cabinets. Water pipe for Sink re-located here. Base for Washing Machine and additional water pipe running along the wall

Also, electrical works commenced in the various spaces. most major in living room (where we re-located the SCV point to the other end (wall between living room and bedroom 3), as well as in the master bedroom where we are putting in a walk-in wardrobe and power points near the headroom for the bed, as well as for mounting a TV at the corner.
